There are almost two million Canadians living with osteoporosis, a chronic disease that weakens the structure of bones, making them fragile and more likely to break or fracture. While it can have serious consequences, it is possible to live well with osteoporosis, by taking the right steps to keep your bones strong and healthy.
Whether you clock your steps on a pedometer a few days a week, consider playing with your grandkids your "weight bearing exercise" or count your daily dose of calcium and vitamin D as a "must do", if you are a postmenopausal woman with osteoporosis, we want to hear from you!
