As the political scene in America continues to bring with it lots of controversy and uncertainty, Barack Obama is spending some of his post presidential time hanging out with royalty.
Over the weekend, Kensington Palace sent out a photo over Twitter featuring a very dapper looking Prince Harry and an incredibly happy Obama posing together.
The tweet simply read: “Prince Harry hosted former US President Barack Obama at Kensington Palace today.”
There wasn’t much time to speculate what the powerful pair may have been up to, as Kensington Palace quickly relayed the nature of their meeting.
“They discussed support for veterans, mental health, conservation, empowering young people and the work for their respective foundations,” stated Kensington Palace’s official Twitter site. “Barack Obama also offered his condolences to the victims of the Manchester attack and support for those recovering from injuries.”
“Good to see my friend Prince Harry in London to discuss the work of our foundations & offer condolences to victims of the Manchester attack,” wrote Obama.
Today, Prince Harry appeared at the Tower of London today to unveil the U.K. team for the 2017 Invictus Games.
To be held in Toronto from September 26-30, the Prince Harry-launched Invictus Games is an athletic competition designed for military veterans who were injured, or fell ill, during battle. Teams from 16 nations will participate in 12 sports, including archery, indoor rowing, golf, wheelchair, rugby, swimming and more.
